I bought the big brother to this, the Eclipse 2100 HR / A, barely three years ago. It has seen very light use, but recently started making a grinding noise at higher resistance levels. After some minor disassembly I found the problem – the flywheel (plastic) has been warped and is now rubbing against the magnet plate when it is approaching to give more resistance. I contacted customer service and so far have been told the only available spare part is the belt. The belt is a good thing, so it seems I now have quite a $ 500 paper weight. . . Rating: 1 / 5

This is the second Eclipse I have owned – I returned the first of the same problems I have with this machine. The nut holding the rear link to the disc separates after a few months of use. This is NOT repaired as grommets, etc. are destroyed in the process that makes the machine unusable. There is now a huge paperweight. Rating: 1 / 5

I bought this unit from a local Sports Authority store. It has been used very sparingly by my son and I. We used probably a total of 33 times for short (less than 15 minutes) sessions. It goes through the “C” batteries rather quickly, so make sure you buy a large package of them (Costco?). It was 1:06 volt adapter port plug. But like most U.S. companies are not the adapter and you have to shell out another $ 20 or so by buying one at Radio Shack or somewhere similar. One day we tried to start the device and no-way Jose ‘- it would not start. As I said, we use it very infrequently. Of course, when it starts, the unit was already one year warranty. Like most of the things that are made in China, plastic parts (console housing and soft-touch panel, where you press start all functions) is very thin and obviously in membrane touch pad has a little dust and does not transfer the next start command cricuit. The “start / stop” button no longer starts the system. So planning is not available. Now I only have one eliptical without any programming. The only free-wheel. ” I have contacted the manufacturer in an attempt to order a new console unit. But like most factory replacement parts, it will cost probably half (if not more) of what a brand new unit will cost. Because of the short life of this Eclipse 1100 HR / A, I will not buy another Fitness Quest product. I would not recommend this unit to someone based on a short life span of the average användning.La 11/13/2009: I have heard from the manufacturer PowerQuest on the cost of a new computer circuit boards. They want $ 109. 00 plus tax and shipping) for a new computer that will make this unit can be operated – perhaps. Of course, it may be something else wrong with it. With our local Craigslist, you can purchase a used elliptical for about the same price. Guess which option I will take? You got it. I will order another one that elliptical, but certainly not a PowerQuest Eclipse product. I would avoid this device like the plague! — Ralincv Rating: 2 / 5

The elliptical I got was not one in the picture. The screen was completely different. The installation was pretty easy. When I started using it, stopped the speed and distance to zero even though I was on it for a good couple of minutes. I tried to find some answers in the manual, but all I found was a couple of workouts and nutritional facts. I emailed the company, and I am now awaiting a response. Besides the screen is not working, it’s a pretty good machine. It is not like those at the gym at all, but that’s why you pay so little for it. Rating: 2 / 5

I bought this elliptical after reviewing many different second elliptical galaxies. It is relatively easy to assemble and has a digital display. There is also a nice smooth ride when you use it. I read some of the reviews for others to say that they heard clunking noise and parts would loosen, but not so much with this. I’ve had in a month. I would highly recommend this product to anyone plus I got free shipping so I could not beat the price. Rating: 5 / 5
