I was very disappointed with the FR60. I have literally spent hours trying to get a calorie burn count, but finally gave up. I have read several online troubleshooting forums, tried several downloads to update the firmware and it just does not work. Why should something so basic be so complicated? I do not know why they insist that you connect to the website of the training data. Why can not there be a local option? I tried and tried but it just would not work. I regret this purchase. I had bought Garmin FR60 for spinning and swimming. It works well for spinning, but not for swimming. It is the price of functions. Rating: 3 / 5

If you are a cross-trainer like me, you’re out of luck once you get into the water. Heart rate transmitter will not send a blip on the clock as soon as it is an inch under water. This even if the clock is actually strapped to the heart rate transmitter (incredibly uncomfortable of course). One wonders why they advertise it as FR60 submergible to 50 feet. I had this problem with the standard transmitter that came with the FR60 and thought a “premium” device (marketed as 30 meters and can be sold separately) would solve it. Apparently not only was I wrong, Garmin knew this upfront (the manual says it will not work while swimming), took my money and laughed all the way to the bank. What a bad, bad technology choices in order to weaken the signal in the name (I assume) of battery life. I am very disappointed. Rating: 3 / 5

I bought Garmin FR60 to supplement my Garmin 305, primarily to use indoors. Garmin 305 is an excellent product – but, I have a few gripes. As the battery is running low after one use, and sometimes difficult to work with buttons. The FR60 not have GPS, so it is ideal for indoor use. Its easy to install, and absolutely simple to use. Some people have complained about the lack of printed manual – I do not know why. Its all pretty obvious, or at least it was for mig.Titta and heart rate monitors work fine. The time is much smaller than the Garmin 305, and reasonably stylish. The numbers are large enough to read, even if you normally mild to moderate wear reading glasses you should be able to read it all right without them. Data upload is trivial via USB minne.Allt in all, a very small clock. One of the cheapest, which allows data to be stored and then transferred to a computer or website. Even with a mac, this seems to work ok. Rating: 4 / 5

The monitor has great features – nearly everything I could want on the sides of the roll. The buttons are close together, and difficult to maneuver with adult fingers. The lower left button sometimes does not work – I need to press the iterative. The feature that allows you to load software to evaluate your training is awesome, but it is difficult to initiate, as you just sent a description of the owner’s manual. You must download the software online, but allows the computer to do so may require that you call customer service, which has limited hours. Therefore, it is easy to use software initially, a bit frustrating. Rating: 3 / 5
