For a low cost HRM, it is quite large. Neat features, esp. Calorie Counter and average HR. Once you get used to button the system, it is really easy to use (the silver ring around the face is short, you either at the top of it, to the bottom of it, or both options work). The mine has been flawless. My wife model (the blue one) sometimes lose connection to the chest strap, but start the clock usually fixes it. I still give five stars because of value. Rating: 5 / 5

I first saw this heart rate monitor as recommended in a review of [. . . ] On-line store. It is described as the best heart rate monitor for the rowers. Having now received one, I must say that it is really good value for money. I use it primarily for biking, but I have also used it on an indoor rowing machine. It is very easy to use and gives good feedback. I like to strap it on top of my handlebars, next to my cadence / speed sensor, and I have no problems reading the display. The digital coded chest strap works really well even in a crowded erg room surrounded by other people using HRMS. It has a calorie counter, which is not very helpful for me, but some people may like that feature. What I really like to use it to maintain the same level of workout intensity when I’m struggling in an uphill battle as when I had the wind behind me. Then, using the Sigma Onyx Classic, my average speed increased almost 10%, just because I’m smarter about how I train. Rating: 5 / 5
