I had used a Proform elliptical for a few years until it began to split. It had a 18-inch stride length and a good workout. After Proform started giving me problems, I knew it was time to start looking for a new machine. My first inclination was to go with a Schwinn as my parents had a Schwinn recumbent bike and I had always thought it was a quality product. I read reviews on the Schwinn 420 430, 431 and the new 460th I live near a Dick’s sporting goods and went to see what they had to offer, even if they had Schwinn recumbent bikes on the floor, they had no Schwinn elliptical to försöka.De had two heavy-duty models, E25 and E95. When I walked alone on the E25, I felt the quality of the machine was E95 but even better at 80 + inches long it was not interesting, but the E25 was. The only E25 was priced at $ 950 plus tax. I began to review other similar elliptical and came across Spirit Esprit line that I came to teach was made by the same company that makes Sole.I my review, I discovered that the flywheel weight is important, the heavier the better it seems, that is what gives you a smooth feeling, instead of a choppy run where you exert effort on each peddle on each stroke. It is hard to explain until you feel the difference but the flywheel weight makes the difference. Cheap machines do not mention flywheel weight because they do not have det.Den Schwinn has come with a £ 25 a flywheel, the only E25 has a flywheel 23 pounds, this machine has a flywheel 30 pounds and you can feel it. It takes a little effort to get this thing going, but once you do, just want to continue. This provides a boost for the times that you feel like slowing down, driving this machine you can keep it up, you can slow down the pace but it takes a couple of laps. I bought the Esprit EL-455 for these reasons: It is shorter than the one in 1995 and Sole 25Den has a heavier flywheel £ 30Det have control heart rate with telemetriJusterbar pads Back lit skärm20 inch stride length Custom programming Made by the Spirit that makes single machine cheaper than similar Soledad Schwinn 430 can be better but I do not know because I could not test one. The Schwinn 460 was intreging but since the new I was not willing to take a chance. When you receive a £ 200 machine that delivered and then mount it, is the last thing you want to have to take it apart and send tillbaka.Jag have only had the Spirit for a day so I can not advise on much longer than the assembly but it was not difficult. It took about two hours. 30 Minuit struck box and unpacking, was 30 Minuit tried to feed electrical wires through the column, I ended up with a coat hanger to push through it. The rest went pretty smoothly, but I tried to be careful to do things in order and right because I know that if you screw up the congregation you might never get a second chance to try it rätt.När machine I found it very smooth and quiet as I expected it would be. I went for 20 miniutes and sweating pretty good. I am used to walk 50 minutes, but then I was already sweating from the thing together so I leave a full workout until morgon.Bara a notice of delivery, I choose to take the free delivery offered by Amazon, was the total price $ 999 no tax, no shipping, they notified me a week after my order that the order had been sent. When I tracked the order, I found that it had already come to my city and was ready for delivery, 10 days before Amazon said I should expect it. The delivery man wheeled up my driveway and placed it in my living room right where I wanted to mount it. The invoice said that I had inside delivery included. I was worried I might have to pull up the driveway at myself because I did not pay for preimium leverans.Jag will update in a few weeks after I placed the Esprit EL -455 through it’s stages. Update – The machine does not have or use a strap heart rate and can only use stationary handles for heart rate control programs. Since I use a separate heart rate monitor, this is not a problem for me. It makes the heart rate programs fairly useless unless you use the swinging arms and keep your hands on the stationary grip. The machine itself has had some minor skweeks but they seem to have disappeared with use. I did spray a little WD40 on the joints in the morning and the machine made very little noise at all. The work out is good, I have set up a program that keeps it at level 3 for 52 minutes. When I build up some stamina, I plan to try some of the programs vary nivån.Uppdatering 2 – The manufacturer Spirit emailed me and said now the machine using a strap heart rate, they simply will not include it. They suggested that I could buy one of them. As mentioned earlier, I use a clip on the HR monitor so I will not try to tape. After two weeks of use I am still very happy with my purchase, is smooth and quiet ride a real work out. Still at level 3 but my avg. speed increases, but it is up to 82 RPM’s card today and my HR stays low so I have to increase the resistance soon. Would recommend this to a friend. We bought this model because my husband is a big guy (6′4) and wanted a good sturdy machine. It is easy to program and has two user profiles. After your workout, it gives you an average speed ect. I agree with a previous items on the calorie count to be in underkant.Det is easy to install, but be sure that is true because you only need to attach the neck, monitor and handle. The base (rails, foot cushions, and center) is one big piece and bolts and nuts are welded on (this is a good IMO). It was heavy and a really tricky to pull up to the second floor. It makes some noise, but nothing terrible. I do not normally hear on the TV or my Ipod to exempel.Heads Up: I chose the Super Saver Shipping and delivery guy came solo: 0 He took it as far as he could to the door, but the box was too wide to my staircase. We had to open it on the lawn. Invite your friends over the biggest hairiest days for delivery! Rating: 5 / 5

Just bought this today from a fitness store (not Amazon). The price of the floor was $ 1,299, but they offered to take $ 100 if we would take it in the box (and put it together themselves). Took the offer, and bought it for the 1200th Now I see it on Amazon for the 1100th WTF! Going back to the store to see what they can do to adjust priset.Nu the machine – very high product quality and mechanical operation, from what we have seen in our first attempt tonight. Warranty is also outstanding. Had a few issues with the screen turned ändå.Först machine is not at all times. We have to unplug the power adapter into the machine, then plug it back in. It lights up every time it is done. Not something we want to do every time dock.För the second user programmable hard to figure out and they are more focused on creating a user program, not just “log into the machine.” We expected to set up another as a user, skip to the machine, choose your username and pick a program and go. Thats not the case, you must do the program you initially defined / set up the first time you used the machine. Otherwise, if you want to use a program with your weight and age, you must enter it in each gång.Det third, calories burned estimates seem low. After running on this machine for 10 minutes with a maximum of six, I said it just burned ~ 60 calories. Perhaps this is correct, but the machines I’ve used over the last three years at the gym will show that I burn over 130 calories at a similar load and time. My husband and I each weigh over 325 pounds and this machine can cope with it. We spent about an hour putting it together and it is top quality. No cheap looking parts and runs smoothly. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is heavier and is worried that the machine handles its weight! Rating: 5 / 5
