I was hospitalized recently with a condition called AFIB or (atrial fibrillation), before I was hospitalized my bpm was extremely high as 185 or so sitting in my bedroom and I was dizzy and felt miserable. 24 and $ 17,000 later turned my heart back to a normal sinus rhythm and I was sent home. I thought that after having gone through an experience like this, it comforts you to know what your pulse is all day, so my girlfriend thought it would be a good idea for me to easily keep track of my pulse and I got this as an early Christmas present. From what the doctors have said to me, something like 1 of 4 Americans will suffer from atrial fibrillation among teens to age 70 and who also says that 1 of 3 Americans have a stroke, that it was due to AFIB. So I guess what I am trying to say is to get to know your heart, check it regularly and if you want to do it with ease, whether you exercise, eat dinner, etc.. This is a product you need. Not a bad watch, looks good. Has the digital and analog time, which can easily sync’d. The reading can be a bit difficult to see in direct sunlight but it is typical for digital meters even in the car. I paid $ 50 for mine at the local Academy Sports & Outdoors. . . Not bad for $ 50 if it has the features you want. . . Later the road I can upgrade mine to one that gives me an average beat per minute every day or something. . . . I love to be able to check my pulse every time. . . fun. . . I only use my daily for control. . . when I want to know what my heart rate. I think if you are a hard core of the exercise then you probably want more features (and spend a lot more) Rating: 5 / 5
